Peter passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre, surrounded by his family, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Peter was a respected and accomplished broadcaster whose career spanned decades across multiple professional leagues. He served as a play-by-play announcer in the World Hockey Association (WHA), National Hockey League (NHL), and Canadian Football League (CFL), earning admiration for his distinctive voice, sharp insight, and passion for the game. In addition, he hosted over 100 episodes of World of Sports, further cementing his legacy as a trusted and familiar presence in Canadian sports media.
In recognition of his contributions, Peter was recently inducted into both the NWO and MSSA Halls of Fame — a testament to the profound impact he had on broadcasting, sports culture, and the countless fans who followed his work. He was also associated with Liberty Sports Group, where he continued to shape the sports media landscape with professionalism and dedication.
