With deep sadness, the Toowoomba community and the King’s College family mourn the unexpected passing of Oliver Donaldson, a cherished alumnus who died following a medical episode. His loss has deeply affected family, friends, classmates, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Oliver was a resident student at King’s College during 2024–2025, where he was admired for his kindness, warmth, and the genuine connections he formed with those around him. He carried himself with humility and compassion, and his presence brought comfort and encouragement to many. Whether through quiet support or shared laughter, Oliver left a lasting impression on the College community.
He shared a close bond with his family, including his brother Fynn, who also attended King’s College from 2019 to 2021. Their relationship reflected the love, loyalty, and strength that defined Oliver’s character. His family and loved ones now grieve the loss of a son, brother, and friend whose life ended far too soon.
In honour of Oliver’s life, King’s College has lowered its flags to half-mast, lit a memorial candle, and placed a tribute book in the reception area for members of the community to share messages and memories. These tributes will be lovingly shared with Oliver’s family as a testament to the profound impact he had on those around him.
Oliver’s passing has been especially difficult for the College community, where his absence is deeply felt. Support services are available to students, staff, and families during this time, reinforcing that no one must walk through grief alone.
Though his time on earth was tragically short, Oliver’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his sincerity, and the kindness he extended to others without hesitation.
