With profound sadness, the Kingston community mourns the passing of Colleen Dale Haskell, who died peacefully on January 29, 2026, at Hospice Quinte, surrounded by loved ones, following a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was just 33 years old.
Born on September 16, 1992, Colleen lived a life filled with creativity, compassion, and purpose. A talented photographer and the owner of a thriving photography business, she had an extraordinary gift for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. Through her lens, Colleen preserved memories, emotions, and milestones for countless families, leaving behind a lasting artistic legacy.
Colleen found deep joy in photography, art, the outdoors, and spending time with children. One of her favorite places was the cottage, where she felt most at peace—swimming, connecting with nature, and enjoying the quiet beauty of the world around her. She also dearly loved her cat, Jerry, who brought her comfort and companionship.
A strong and determined woman, Colleen faced her illness with remarkable courage. She never allowed her diagnosis to define her or limit her spirit. Instead, she continued to live fully, pursue her passions, and inspire those around her with her resilience, optimism, and unwavering strength.
Colleen is lovingly remembered by her devoted parents, Dale and Shelly; her brother, Geoff, and his wife, Janessa; and her cherished niece, Scarlett, who brought her endless joy. She will also be fondly remembered by extended family, friends, clients, and all whose lives she touched through her work and her heart.
A celebration of Colleen’s life will be held this summer in a setting she loved, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the light she brought into their lives. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory are invited to support Hospice Quinte, in recognition of the compassionate care Colleen received during her final days.
Colleen Haskell’s legacy of creativity, love, and strength will live on through the memories she created, the moments she captured, and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew her.
May she rest in peace.
